- Hosted representatives from nearly every major nation in the world, including 6 major CEOs. The black Diaspora was there from the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, Brazil, and Canada, and from every city and stare in the United States. Four planes came through 20 gateway cities, meeting in London and then traveling to South Africa to open the Summit in Johannesburg with Nelson Mandela before moving on to Harare.
- The First Summit Trade & Investment Exposition saw over 100 business vendors and attracted over 550 participating companies, universities and organizations.
- Honored the 20th Anniversary of the original Sullivan Principles that helped to dismantle apartheid in South Africa.
